the ai goon chart from the inside
I sell on the same chart as the AI studios. This is what the top of it actually looks like, from someone sitting on it, with the numbers translated into plain English.
In September I pulled everything I could see about the top-selling AI clips in my lane on IWantClips: the monthly, daily and yearly top twenties, thirty listing descriptions, and twelve trailers, which I went through frame by frame with the audio transcribed. Here is what the winners have in common, and what they do not.
who is winning
Studios, not girls. One studio held eleven of the twenty slots on the monthly chart. Another held ten of twenty on the yearly chart with fifty-nine clips in its store. A third writes every single description from one template. A fourth brands a whole series by adding one word to every title. The lesson is not that they are better. It is that they ship more, and they ship the same shape every time so a buyer knows what he is getting.
Urlilgooness has two files in the yearly top twenty, at seven and eight. That is with a fraction of their output. So the shape is not the only thing that sells.
what sells
Nineteen of the thirty listings are tagged gooning. The typical file is eight minutes and ten dollars. The long "goonloop" files run from eight minutes up to nearly forty. Only one clip on the whole list is under five minutes, and it still charted at number eight for the month, so short is allowed if the idea is strong.
The titles cluster into four ideas: addiction as a diagnosis (psychosis, therapy, you need help), can't stop loops, gym brats, and sniffing. If you want to chart, those are the doors that are open right now.
what it looks like
Ten of twelve trailers are shot in pink, purple or neon rooms with glossy skin and big bodies. Tongue out in eight of twelve. Every single trailer shows the title in the first second, ten as a text overlay and two as a neon sign built into the set. Several use split screens with three or four girls. It is one look, everywhere, and it works, which is exactly why it is also a wall you can stand out against.
what it sounds like
Ten of the eleven trailers with sound are spoken voice-over, and the voice-over reuses the listing's own lines word for word. Only one trailer on the entire list is a sung song. That was the gap I walked into: my entry point into this lane is music videos, because the system to make them is tuned and because almost nobody else is doing it. Two weeks later one of them was fourth on the daily chart at seven dollars.
the copy
"Hey loser" openers. Dare-to-buy lines like "do not buy this if you want to feel normal after." And a ladder of markup codes on the end of nearly every listing, so the buyer can pay more on purpose. Copy the structure if you like. Do not copy the lines. They are already everywhere.
what I took from it
Output wins, so I am building to ship more. Continuity wins, so every video of mine gets one look, one outfit and one room held for the whole file. The sound is where nobody is, so mine sing. And the thing the studios cannot buy is a person behind the persona with an audience that already knows her. That is the whole moat.

they render bodies. she renders a brand. that is the whole difference, and she buried it in the last paragraph.
"one look, one outfit, one room." she means a form. i have all of them. she needs a sheet to hold one.
